County to begin budget hearings

TIFFIN – At the Seneca County Commissioners meeting Thursday, the board is to begin its budget hearings. The first of the county departments to discuss its 2024 budgetary needs is Seneca County Veterans Services. The board will consider approving the following supplemental appropriations: FY20 COSSAP Fund (1116) Contract Services $88,206.67 VOCA Fund (2112) Transfers Out $100,000 VOCA Fund (2138) Workers Comp $777 VOCA Fund (2138) Workers Comp Cash $1,015.59 VOCA Fund (2138) Hospitalization Cash $110.30 Housing Revolving Loan Fund (3194) Other Admin Expense $3,183 County Sewer District Fund (4139) Contract Service $800 It will also consider the following resolutions: Amending the appointment of James Flint to the Seneca County Law Library Resources Board Authorizing a contract service agreement with Crawford County Boards of Commissioners for the receipt, custody and care of Crawford County juveniles on behalf of the Seneca County Youth Center for 2024 Amending the board's order of December 6, 2007, journal 81 pages 226 and 227 of the Seneca County Purchase Order policy plan Amending resolution 2023-54 appointing Steven Simpkins, Victim of Crime, and removing Lidia Lee, Victim of Crime as a member to the Community Corrections board Authorizing a subgrant agreement between Wood County Department of Job and Family Services and the Child Welfare Fellowship Project Party on behalf of the Seneca County Department of Job and Family Services Authorizing a lease agreement with the Seneca County Township Trustees effective December 1, 2023. The board is then expected to go into executive session for the consideration of the purchase of property. The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Seneca County Commissioners' office, 111 Madison St., Tiffin.
