Woodville couple killed Saturday

WOOD COUNTY – A Woodville couple was killed in a fatal three-vehicle crash Saturday evening. According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at about 6:58 p.m. on US 20. A vehicle operated by Samantha Hammons of Toledo was traveling westbound on US 20 at a high rate of speed when it struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jacob Hahn of Woodville, according to authorities. Hahn's vehicle then spun across the center line and moved sideways into the eastbound lane due to the impact. Hahn's vehicle was then struck by a vehicle, driven by Zachery Bollinger of Clyde. Hahn and his passenger Savannah Harding, also of Woodville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Hammons was transported to Saint Vincent's in Toledo where she was treated for minor injuries and then released. Her passengers Heather and Asia Hammons, also of Toledo, were not injured in the crash. Bollinger and his passengers Megan Jock and Gabriella Bollinger, also of Clyde, were also transported to Saint Vincent's in Toledo where they were treated for minor injuries. Lake Township Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Troy Township Fire and EMS, Pemberville Fire and EMS, Lake Township Fire and EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, Ray's Towing, Shipley's Towing and Frank's Towing assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
