LaRue man seriously injured in crash

MARION – A LaRue man was seriously injured in a crash early Saturday morning. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Marion Post, the crash occurred at about 12:45 a.m. on SR 309 near Pleasant Hill Road in Marion. The investigation found that Aaron King, 42, of LaRue was traveling westbound on SR 309 when he "failed to negotiate a curve just west of Pleasant Hill Road". King's vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail. The vehicle then rolled over the guardrail and down an embankment, overturning several times before it came to a final rest in a field. He was transported by MedFlight to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus to be treated for serious injuries. King was wearing his seatbelt during the crash. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Marion Township Fire & EMS, Salt Rock Fire & EMS, MedFlight and Ron's Towing.
