Wood County indictments

BOWLING GREEN – Three area men were recently indicted by a Wood County grand jury on felony charges and are scheduled to appear before Common Pleas Judge Matthew L. Reger on Tuesday. Ramiro Silva, 22, of Fostoria, faces fourth-degree felony charges of disrupting public services and strangulation and a first-degree misdemeanor count of domestic violence in connection with a November incident. The indictment says Silva knowingly caused or attempted to cause harm by strangulation or suffocation in an act against a family or household member. He is also accused of purposely and substantially impairing Fostoria police's ability to respond to an emergency or protect a person or property from harm. Taylor William Hunter, 33, of Cygnet faces a third-degree felony charge of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and two first-degree misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of both. The indictment says Hunter in November attempted flee or elude an officer, causing a risk of harm to people or property. The indictment noted that Hunter pled guilty or was convicted or driving under the influence last January in Hancock County. Craig A. Nye, 29, of Risingsun, is charged with domestic violence, a third-degree felony, and criminal damaging or endangering, a second-degree misdemeanor in connection with an April 2023 incident in which he either harmed or attempted to harm a family or household member and also damaged or attempted to damage a vehicle. The indictment says Nye has been convicted or pled guilty to domestic-violence charges in two Seneca County incidents, in 2017 and in 2019.
