NCOESC receives 'High Performance'

TIFFIN --- North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC) has once again received the High Performing ESC designation from the Ohio Department of Education. A High Performing Educational Service Center (ESC) has generated total cost savings of at least 5% for its client school districts for primary services secured from the ESC instead of another source. NCOESC has received this honor every year since the inception of this designation in 2016. "One of our goals has always been to provide high quality services and support to our districts, while striving to remain cost effective for those services," says NCOESC Superintendent Brenda Luhring in a release. "As we are all aware, the cost of nearly everything has risen significantly. This designation attests and we are cognizant to our districts need to spend wisely." The Ohio Department of Education evaluated each ESC based on the total percentage of cost savings the ESC generated for its client districts calculated based on the price charged to the client by the ESC for a primary service. In addition to all of the other services and support ESC's offer, Ohio's ESCs have averaged 36% savings to districts per year, for a total of nearly $587.6 million in savings statewide for primary services since tracking began in 2016. NCOESC provides member school districts with professional development, special education and intervention services, curriculum, technology, and more than 50 other support services to assist in improving student learning, the quality of instruction, access to resources, and operating/fiscal efficiencies.
