Wedding venue recognized for excellence

TIFFIN --- A local business has received accolades for excellence as a wedding venue. Arlington Acres, 3191 SR 18, Tiffin, recently was named winner of The Knot Best of Weddings 2024, Wedding Wire Couples' Choice Awards and Best of Zola 2024. Sarah Bolte, owner of Arlington Acres, said the venue also was recognized with the awards last year, and "we work for it every year." Arlington Acres hosted its first wedding in 2018, she said, and has been growing every since. The venue is "very booked for this year," Bolte said, and reservations are filling quickly for next year. Bolte said the idea for Arlington Acres started as a way to save the barn on her husband's family farm. She said the couple offered use of the barn for a friend's wedding, and the transformation "kind of spiraled from there." The facility, she said, has been fully remodeled, and the focus since 2020 has been on adding features. Bolte said they currently are in "renovation recovery," and only smaller projects, such as additional landscaping and creation of fire pits, now are planned. Arlington Acres, according to a press release from Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce, "is a charming, historic barn set on a working modern farm just outside of Tiffin, Ohio." The venue features "modern amenities needed to prepare for your special day," and is "bright and modern, perfectly combining sleek white lines to the old-world charm of the original barn," the release states. The awards received by Arlington Acres, Bolte said, are "primarily review- based," and reflect the feedback provided by couples who have had their ceremonies at the venue. The winners, according to the press release, "represent the best of the best wedding professionals." Bolte said she is grateful to the wonderful feedback from happy couples. "It's their love that keeps us alive," she said.
