TIFFIN — A unique boutique in Tiffin is helping young women discover their dream dresses. Dazey Boutique, at 75 Greely St., is in it's fourth season, and owner Amber Dazey said the shop "has been very very busy." Dazey said she used to run a store in the Tiffin Mall, called Once Worn, that closed 10 years ago. She made the decision to open Dazey Boutique to help ensure "every girl can afford a dress." The boutique carries both prom and homecoming dresses, and also offers an ecclectic mix of other items, including tops, bags, jeans, shoes and hats. "It's a little bit of everything," Dazey said. All the dresses she stocks are brand new, she said, and are sold below cost. Dazey said she finds the boutique's items both online and at department stores, and tries to carry something for everyone. "Every color, style, you name it," she said. Dazey said she is "filling the racks" for prom, and has shipments arriving daily. Prom dresses at Dazey Boutique are priced at $200-$300, she said, and currently there are about 200 from which to choose. Last fall, she said, homecoming options averaged $60 per dress. Shopping at the boutique currently is by appointment only, Dazey said, and she can be reached through her personal Facebook account at Amber Dazey. Through Facebook messages, shoppers can be invited to join her VIP boutique page, and can schedule a time to visit the shop. Appointments are approximately one hour each, Dazey said, to "give each girl an hour to shop." New customers also can be asked to join the VIP group by a returning customer. Through the VIP group, Dazey said, members receive announcements of items coming into the boutique. Dazey said she accepts cash, Venmo, PayPal, credit cards and CashApp. However, no personal checks will be accepted, she said. Dazey said she hopes the community knows she is open for business and ready to help customers "any way I can."
