Archbold man killed Monday

UPPER SANDUSKY – An Archbold man was killed in a hit-and-skip accident early Monday morning. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol – Bucyrus Post, the accident occurred at about 5:56 a.m. on US 23 near TR 65. Authorities said that Brady D. Neifer, 25, of Archbold was traveling southbound on US 23 when his vehicle struck an unknown vehicle. The impact of the crash caused Neifer's vehicle to travel west off the roadway, coming to rest near a tree line. The unknown vehicle then fled the scene. Neifer was pronounced deceased by the Wyandot County Coroner at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seatbelt and that drugs and/or alcohol were not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, Pitt Township Fire Department, Wyandot County EMS and Fox's Towing assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
