Reader wants West for Coroner

I am writing to ask you to join me in supporting Dr. Zachary West as our next Seneca County Coroner. I have had the opportunity to get to know Dr. West over the past several years. I find Dr. West to possess the traits and characteristics of not only a caring, intelligent doctor, but a doctor who displays solid morals and ethics. Dr. West has upheld his dedication and his oath he took when becoming a physician. That oath is "To do no harm". He also takes his training as a doctor to allow "patient autonomy" seriously. His moral compass and his oath in his profession has not waivered. This is very evident as he stood firm in his training to hold these to the upmost guarded level, even when pressure was put onto those in the medical field to waiver from what they were taught and took an oath to. This is clearly evident in our own community that Dr. West is currently serving as Vice President of the Seneca County Board of Health. Dr. West has stood his ground throughout the past several years fight to ensure that patients have the ability to choose, (patient autonomy) in the choices of their medical care that they deem appropriate for themselves. He also upholds his medical oath to do no harm. These actions were clearly carried out as Dr. West introduced (and was passed) the Medical Freedom Act to the Seneca County Board of Health. This act ensures the protection of the County employees that they have the right to govern their own personal health choices when it comes to forced vaccinations. This Act protects their jobs if they choose against vaccinations. Again, Dr. West believes that each individual must take into account their own choice, medical conditions etc, and discuss the risk benefits with their providers. The individual should not be forced to do anything against their will. Doing such actions and force vaccination eliminates the patients right for patient autonomy. This is one of the basic foundations for a doctor/patient relationship. I know that Dr. West will stand up as county coroner to ensure that rules and regulations will be followed. Families who may have to deal with the loss of a loved one where the coroner is called in, can be assured that the utmost attention to detail, handling of their loved ones case will be completed appropriately. Dr. West is a man of integrity and solid attention to detail. He will do what is "right" as governed by standards, laws and oaths.
