Dr West for Seneca County Coroner

We have had the opportunity of knowing Dr. Zachary West for 25 + years as his neighbors. Our children and he attended Old Fort Local Schools. We have watched Dr. West grow throughout his achievement of an undergraduate degree at Youngstown University, a Master of Health at Toledo University, and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Ohio University Heritage College of Medicine. Dr. West has always excelled in whatever he has set as his goals. He was selected amongst his peers in residency to be Chief Resident. He was selected by the American College of Osteopathic Internists board to sit on their board, achieving national recognition as a speaker/trainer at the annual ACOI conference. He was nominated and accepted by the ACOI as a Fellow of American College of Osteopathic Internist earning the recognition of (FACOI). Dr. West has achieved dual board certification as an internist and osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine specialist. With these accolades as well as many other recognitions he has achieved, he decided early that his goal, when done with many years of education, was to return "home." Dr. West returned and opened his own medical practice, "Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine." It takes someone with a drive, a vision and commitment to open a solo medical practice in today's modern medicine. Dr. West was voted Seneca County Best of the Best Primary Care and Primary Care Practice 2023. He aims to give back to his community and to seek to help others. Upon his return, he was asked to sit on the Seneca County Board of Health, utilizing not only his medical expertise but also his Masters in Public Health to ensure that the health and safety of Seneca County citizens is being upheld. He has found himself being voted amongst his Board of Health peers to the position of Vice President on the Board of Health. As many of us are aware many items threaten Seneca County, one such item is the Win Waste Landfill located near Fostoria. Dr. West has once again dove into understanding and educating himself in landfill operations. He is committed to his neighbors to make sure State and Federal oversight rules and regulations are being followed. Dr. West is currently seeking to invest his time, energy, knowledge, and commitment to Seneca County by running for Seneca County Coroner. He will bring to this position the same energy, tenacity and drive to ensure that this position is upheld. Although we recently moved out of the county, we continue to watch Dr West grow in his community service and professional development.
