Buckeye Central's Martin awarded Principal of the Year by OASSA

COLUMBUS --- The Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) announced Dr. Michael Martin, principal of Buckeye Central High School, as the recipient of the pPrincipal of the Year Award for his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to student success. Martin began as principal in 2015 and under his leadership, the school has seen improvements in Ohio End of Course Exams and a thriving school culture where "students come first" is not just a motto but a lived experience, according to a release provided by the district. Martin's approach is rooted in the belief that it takes a village to raise a child, according to the release. He has fostered an environment where educators, students, and the community collaborate towards a common goal – the holistic development of every student. His initiatives have not only enhanced academic performance but also promoted social and emotional well-being, ensuring that Buckeye Central students are well-prepared for their futures. Martin, who is a Buckeye Central alumnus, has connections to the community such as the Crawford County Leadership Council.
