Angeline Inc. opens Tiffin hub

Angeline Inc. has been providing services since 1975, and recently opened a hub in Tiffin to grow and facilitate its work and outreach in the community. A ribbon cutting Tuesday celebrated the new office, located at 252 W. Market St., which is an extension of the company's headquarters in Upper Sandusky. Angeline Inc. provides home personal care, non-medical transportation, vocational habilitation, adult day service and residential respite for individuals with developmental disabilities. Bob Witt, president of Angeline, said the opportunity to open the Tiffin hub resulted from the company's privatization in July 2023. Prior to becoming privatized, he said, Angeline was only able to provide services in Wyandot County. Angeline now serves individuals in Crawford, Hardin, Hancock, Marion, Seneca and Wyandot counties, Witt said. Choosing Tiffin as a hub location, he said, was decided after discussion with community organizations to determine services needed/underserved in the area. A waiting list of people in need was reviewed, he said, and a path forward was charted. A collaboration between Angeline, the Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and the Service and Support/Administrator (SSA) department "resulted in Angeline investing in, hiring, and training staff to deliver services here," Witt said. Community connections and integration for the families served by Angeline, he said, "can only take place if you have a presence or are in the community where you work and live." "We continuously look to expand our services to other families as the need arises and if we are a good fit to address the needs of the family," Witt said. Witt said Angeline partnered with Buckeye IT to lease its Tiffin office space, and locally employs one full-time and one part-time direct service professional (DSP). Angeline will seek to hire additional DSP's, he said, as indicated by need. Witt said Angeline is a member of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, and has an established relationship with the Tiffin/Bucyrus YMCA, Bair Brothers and Philips Electric, who have long supported and partnered with the company. Angeline's connections with numerous local councils, boards, organizations, and businesses not only facilitate the provision of services but also open doors for individuals interested in working for Angeline to provide assistance, he said. As Angeline seeks to build its presence in the Tiffin community, he said, the company will offer speaking engagements to civic organizations and businesses to expand awareness of services and volunteer opportunities. Witt said Angeline has a 100% family satisfaction rating, and credits the Angeline board and amazing staff for that rating and the success in getting the Tiffin hub open. "Whether you are from Tiffin, Wyandot or other surrounding communities, there are no boundaries, we are a family at Angeline," he said. The opening of the office in March, he said, is especially significant since March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.
