Celebrating the eclipse at Hedges Boyer

TIFFIN --- Families celebrated the eclipse at Hedges Boyer Park Monday, with people of all ages coming together to witness this rare celestial event. Stephan Templin brought his whole family, including his grandkids, to enjoy the eclipse from Lancaster, Ohio. "We live two hours away," he said. "We came to the park to enjoy the eclipse because we have children and it's a great place for the family to enjoy. We have children ranging from three to fifteen years of age, and it is the first time we have been to Tiffin." The park was bustling with activity, with people sitting on the grass, kids playing on the playground, and dogs laying in the sun. "We are from Minnesota and have a friend who lives here, so we decided to have a guy's weekend and witness the eclipse," Jon Fransen said. As the sky darkened and the moon passed in front of the sun, there was a sense of wonder and excitement. "We saw the eclipse in 2017 in West Virginia, and we came up here just for this," Ian Martin said. "We are staying in Toledo, which was in the direct line of sight for the eclipse, which is why we chose it." "Not only are we celebrating the Eclipse but it's my friend's birthday today and I am from Fredericksburg, Virginia, and he is from Tiffin, so we're having a birthday eclipse party," Ann Bernardi said. The park attracted over a thousand families due to its welcoming atmosphere and recreational opportunities. Families enjoyed barbecuing, utilizing the playground, and connections with one another.
