CLYDE — Blayse Beard anchored two of Lakota's three champion relay teams and added an individual runner-up finish Friday to propel the Raiders past Hopewell-Loudon for the River Division title at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships.Beard's effort helped the Raiders upend the Chieftains 135-123 for the crown, with Calvert using a four-win performance by Jacob Rombach to score 115 points for third.Old Fort claimed fourth with 85 points and New Riegel tallied 60 points for fifth in the 10-team field.Beard anchored Lakota to wins in the 4x200 (1:36.36) and 4x100 (45.55), and ended second in the 200 (23.71).Jalen Wagner joined him on both relays. Redmen race away with Lake titleCLYDE — Clyde's Damarius Chrisman figured in two meet records and four wins Friday, but no one person or team could catch Bellevue.The Redmen also tallied four victories, added a second and had an individual tie for a runner-up spot en route to capturing the Lake Division title at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships.Bellevue's four wins on the Day 2 of the meet — action began Wednesday — helped the Redmen end with 130.33 points.Perkins nosed out Norwalk 110-109.33 for second, with Clyde holding off Columbian 108.5-100.83 for fourth. The 4x200 group bettered the mark of 1:45.11 set in 2021 by Huron, while the 4x100 team bettered the mark of 49.72 seconds set by Oak Harbor in 2021.Gabby Griffin and Cora Liskai joined Bree Caudill on both relays. Tigers complete 4-peatBUCYRUS — The domination of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference continued for Seneca East as the boys track and field team walked away with its fourth straight N10 title Friday night with 186 points at Bucyrus High School.SE won nine events, including three of the four relays as it topped Colonel Crawford by 43 points. Carey was third (98), Mohawk fifth (46), Buckeye Central seventh (37.50) and Upper Sandusky came in eighth (30).Seneca East won the 4x1 (44.49), 4x4 (3:31.90) and the 4x8 (8:32.39) relays. Names were not provided. Eagles victorious again, Carey 2ndBUCYRUS — While Colonel Crawford breezed its way to another N10 title on the track for the girls, locally, Carey was runner-up, followed by Upper Sandusky and Seneca East not far behind at the Northern 10 Athletic Conference championships at Bucyrus Friday night.Colonel Crawford topped Carey 197.50-113, while the Rams were third (112.50), SE fourth (102.50), Buckeye Central sixth (38) and Mohawk seventh (32).Carey had two wins Friday night as Kelsey Bursby claimed the 100 hurdles (16.74) and Abbie Bushong won the discus with a toss of 124-5. Bushong added a second-place finish in the shot put (35-1). Other seconds went to Macy Hoepf in the long jump (15-8 ¾) and the 4x1 (52.45) and 4x2 (1:51.23) relay teams. Relay names were not available.Riley Yost was third in the 100 (13.32), while Hoepf took third in the 300 hurdles (53.55), Grier Blankenmeyer was fourth in the 300 hurdles (55.25). Stockmaster ended fourth in the 100 hurdles (17.77), while Izzy Stockmaster tied for fourth in the high jump (4-6). The 4x2 relay (1:59.07) claimed fifth, while sixths went to Quinlan Burroughs in the 100 (13.58) and Jaidyn Kagy-Alexander in the 200 (28.21) and Burroughs added a seventh in the 200 (28.26).
