Flyers edge Tigers in tune-up

NORWALK – Both Seneca East and Norwalk St. Paul play in today's Division IV district semifinal round, but did get in a game Tuesday night to fine tune some things. In the end, the Flyers slipped by the Tigers 5-4.SE (15-13) out-hit St. Paul 7-3 as Nicholas Parks (RBI) and Blake Foos each had two hits, while Braydon Robinson doubled and drove in a run and Caden Fritz singled and drove in a run. Nathan Parks singled and Jaxon Gayheart ended with an RBI.Aidan Hines suffered the loss on the hill, allowing three runs on two hits in four innings. He struck out six and walked a pair. Eagles get by Rams 5-4FINDLAY – Upper Sandusky started well with a 4-2 lead after four innings at Liberty-Benton Tuesday, but it couldn't sustain it as the Eagles edged the Rams 5-4.Gage Frey singled twice for the Rams (), while Jacob Halter and Evan Hinesman each singled and drove in a run and Kaleb Francis and Ethan Hill both doubled.Francis took the loss on the hill, allowing three runs on six hits in his two frames of relief. Ward-led Stockaders top StreaksFREMONT – Old Fort finished off its season with a 9-6 SBC River victory over Fremont St. Joe Tuesday.Abbi Ward doubled, singled twice and drove in four runs to lead the Stockaders (9-16), while Gabby Perez doubled, singled twice and drove in two runs, Mylee Sebetto singled and drove in a run and Audra Miller, Olivia Abdoo and Madi Blankenship all singled.Miller was the winning pitcher, giving up six runs on nine hits in a complete game in the circle.
