Tiffin Rite Aid to close

TIFFIN — Rite Aid has announced plans to close its Tiffin location. A press representative from Rite Aid confirmed the Rite Aid pharmacy facility at 530 W. Market St. will close July 1, and the store will close July 25. According to a corporate statement released by Rite Aid, the company "regularly assesses its retail footprint to ensure we are operating efficiently while meeting the needs of our customers, communities, associates and overall business." Closing the Tiffin location, it states, is part of an overall plan to reduce rent expense and strengthen the financial performance of the company. According to the press representative, pharmacy customers are being advised to fill their prescriptions at Kroger pharmacy. "We work to seamlessly transfer their prescriptions to ensure there is no disruption of service," the representative said. Information provided by the representative stated employees of the Tiffin Rite Aid will have the opportunity to transfer to another Rite Aid location.
