Company expanding in Fremont

FREMONT — This past week, Crown Battery Manufacturing Co. announced plans to expand its headquarters facility in Fremont through a multimillion-dollar investment "in its future so we can continue to provide the highest-quality commercial and industrial batteries," according to a company statement. The expansion, set to begin Aug. 1, will add almost 56,000 square feet, "bringing our total facility to 312,000 square feet with the construction being done by Telamon Construction," it read. People can find the Fremont location at 1445 Majestic Drive. Regarding the expansion, "The primary function of this expansion is to facilitate automation and increase production capacity while providing efficient storage and handling of inbound and outbound materials."
