Dining experience enhances senior life

TIFFIN — Cura Hospitality, a leading specialist in senior living culinary and hospitality services, announced a new dining partnership with Tiffin's St. Francis Senior Ministries. The faith-based retirement community provides a full continuum of senior housing and healthcare services will now have an improved quality of life for its residents. Cura was selected for its high-quality food, culinary and hospitality expertise, as well as its ability to recruit and retain qualified and caring people by providing onsite training through the Cura Culinary College. Cura already provides food for sister campuses of St Francis. Cura believes in creating a resident-centered culinary experience while encouraging nutrition for personal and memory care residents who require assistance. Programs such as Cura's Signature Connections Memory Support Dining Program will be gradually introduced with progressive tools and pureed food innovations so that memory-impaired residents can enjoy a meal with dignity. Cura's fresh and made-to-order food, prepared by Chef-Director, Sean Huitt, include a wide selection of chef-inspired entrees at each meal, as well as special nutritional requirements such as gluten-free, allergen-friendly, vegetarian and vegan options. Cura will also promote healthier lifestyles through BeWell, a platform designed to educate residents and staff on how to eat healthier. Cura will also aim to elevate compliance by enhancing its food safety culture and best practices so that St. Francis will exceed required standards. The program aims to bring excitement to meals through special education events, meal demonstrations and display cooking.
