It's time for fall

ATTICA — For the last four years, Brad and Lori Niedermier have been welcoming residents of the village to their home for a once-a-year event named Fall at the Farmhouse, The market-style event, which features numerous local vendors, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Niedermier Household, located at 11351 E. TR 44. Lori, creator of the Farmhouse Collection, shared that the idea for the event started when the Oak Ridge Festival closed in 2020. "After Oak Ridge was shut down, there just wasn't much to do during the fall in the village," said Niedermier. "So, I had the idea– there are a ton of talented local vendors, why doesn't the community host an event?" At this moment, Niedermier's vision began to transform into reality. After selling products from her brand (the Farmhouse Collection) for over five years at the Pickwick Place in Bucyrus, Lori is excited to be a part of the Attica community. "It started out with some smaller events," she explained, "Over the years, it's just kind-of grown. Last year and this year both I've had to turn vendors away simply because we are going to run out of room." According to Lori, the decision was made back in 2021 to welcome other vendors to the event. Vendors are primarily local; one vendor is traveling from Chicago. "My nephew, a graphic designer, runs an antique store in Downtown Chicago and he will be bringing some things with him from there," said Lori. An incomplete list of this years vendors includes: The Wild Side, Farmhouse Creations, Handcrafted by Heather and Doug Stuckey, The Rusty Star, The Loft @ 36 Eleven (Hat Bar!), Stuckey's Old Oak Farm, Freshie and Forget About It, Just Sew Cheryl, CNB Designs, Simply Schaffer Designs, Gypsy Soul Lil Boutique, Flowers and Grace, Route 99 Barbeque, Missy Mae Bakery, 4th Gen Kettle Corn, Travelin' Tom's Coffee, Tastefully Simple, Bee Beautiful Boutique, Crazy Crafty Chic, Sam's Tees & More, Mimi's Sunshine Market, Old Timey Treasures, Mikayla Bowman, Michelle Perkins, Stephanie Brown, Scentsy, Kiki&Co., Gail Tuttle, Denise Wagonblast and more. "We're really excited that the event has grown the way it has, and we're looking forward to seeing both all of our guests and incoming vendors, local and not so local," said Neidermier.
