Toft Dairy bids adieu to brothers

SANDUSKY — Toft Dairy recently thanked brothers Bob and Glen Bango, who both retired. "They have been serving our customers in our parlors for over 50 years," according to a statement from the Sandusky-headquartered company. "Thank you for your dedication, and we hope you enjoy your retirement." Many people took to social media, offering their well wishes to each: • Gary Mussell: Congratulations Bob and Glen. Thanks for all them good scoops of ice cream and those chocolate sodas, too. My childhood memories of you two from Monroe Street are still so vivid. And who can forget May Chestnut, too, from the Monroe Street location. Fond memories! This post made me reminisce a bit. • Mike McLaughlin: They are a Sandtown institution. Congratulations gentlemen. • Vickie Lynn Riggs Jameson: Thank you both for all the years I worked there. You both taught me so much. I'll always remember the tons of laughs and crazy times.
