2024 Black Swamp art show winners

BOWLING GREEN —The 2024 Black Swamp Arts Festival announced the winners of the Juried Art Show. This year's Best in Show is Ellen Smith, a wood artist from Bowling Green, awarded $2,000. Best 2-D was awarded to Kati Kleimola, a painting artist from Toledo, awarded $1,500 and Best 3-D was awarded to Alison Vasquez, a jewelry artist from Livonia, Michigan with an award of $1,500. Judge's Award for the Juried Show was Emily Sekerak a Printmaking and Drawing artist from Newark, Ohio with $1,000. Sustainability Award ($500) was awarded to Shannon Lewis, a Mixed Media artist from Ashland, Kentucky and Emerging Artist Award ($500) went to Chuck Strasshofer, a Ceramics artist from Lakewood, Ohio. Honorable mentions of $350 each went to Aya Kang, Ceramics, Josiah Eidmann, Jewelry, and Chris Plummer, Printmaking and Drawing. The Black Swamp Arts Festival is a three-day, free live music and arts festival committed to providing quality art and music experiences. Held in downtown Bowling Green, Ohio the first full weekend after Labor Day, there are three stages of music, two art shows, Youth Arts, Artists at Work, Chalk Walk, and more.
