Perry-Straits Amber Perry and Connor Straits exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. The Rev. Scott Perry, cousin of the bride, officiated the double-ring Mass. A reception followed at Meadowbrook Ballroom.The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Linda Perry of Tiffin. The groom is the son of Thomas and Melissa Straits of Lancaster.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length white strapless A-line ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, frosted embroidered lace appliques, detachable sleeves with a rhinestone belt, and a chapel-length train. The fingertip-length lace veil contained rhinestones and a crystal leaf headband. She carried a bouquet of white, navy blue, and Carolina blue roses with various varieties of greenery, white, navy blue, and Carolina blue baby's breath. The bridesmaids wore navy blue, one-shoulder, floor-length dresses. They carried coordinating bouquets of white, navy blue, and Carolina blue roses with greenery and baby's breath.Brittany Vela of Tiffin and Ashley Whitehead of Indianapolis, Indiana, both sisters of the bride, were the matrons of honor. The bridesmaids were Courtney Perry, cousin of the bride; Kyli Lause, a friend of the bride, both of Tiffin; Ashton Reitano, sister of the groom, of Lancaster; and Cassie Gaietto, a friend of the bride, of Tiffin. Mackinley Straits, niece of the groom of Lancaster and Rylee Whitehead, niece of the bride of Indianapolis, Indiana, were the flower girls.Joshua McGrady, friend of the groom, and Colin Straits, brother of the groom, both of Lancaster, were the best men. Groomsmen were Chandler Straits, brother of the groom, of Lancaster; Austin Perry, brother of the bride, of Tiffin; Tyler Reitano, brother-in-law of the groom; and Eddie Wolfe, friend of the groom, both of Lancaster. Ryan Straits, nephew of the groom of Lancaster, Julian Vela, godson and nephew of the bride, and Theodore Vela, nephew of the bride of Tiffin, were the ringbearers.Amber is a 2016 graduate of Calvert High School and a 2019 graduate of The University of Toledo. She is currently working as a NICU nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus.Connor, a 2014 graduate of Fairfield Union High School, is a parts manager at GM Equipment, Columbus.The rehearsal dinner was at the home of the bride's parents.Brittany Vela and Ashley Whitehead, sisters of the bride, hosted a miscellaneous shower July 16, 2023.Following a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Hilliard.
