Downtown will be filled with magic this weekend

TIFFIN — Several local businesses downtown will be participating in a "Wizard Weekend" event Saturday and Sunday. The weekend-long event is unlike any other, as magic enthusiasts are invited to join a total of 16 businesses for a variety of wizardry, witch(crafts) and other magical activities. The event will also have themed drinks and food to match the mystical vibe. This year, the event is being coordinated by Penelope Logsdon, manager of Pan Yan Bookstore. While this is Logsdon's first year coordinating the event, she participated last year, sharing "This is only our second year doing the event and honestly the turnout was much larger than we had originally anticipated last year." Previously the event was coordinated by Tabitha Kirsch, owner of Tea Time Tiffin, who decided to take a step back into a more relaxed role. "People love magic, they love wizards and all things mystical," said Logsdon. "This year, we have more business participation than the previous year and speaking on behalf of Pan-Yan Bookstore, we have yet to have a day top the event's premier in sales, even with the eclipse."
