Local businesses named Best in Ohio

Midwestern Traveler Magazine has recognized several businesses in Seneca County as Best in Ohio venues. According to a press release, "Seneca County has received 10 awards in the 2nd Annual Best in Ohio Awards by Midwestern Traveler Magazine." The following businesses received awards: Best Bookstore - Pan Yan Bookstore, Best Drive-in-Theater - Tiffin Drive-In Theater, Best Community Parade - Seneca County Halloween Parade, Best County Fair - Seneca County Fair, Best Jeweler - Jeffrey Jewelry, Best Small Town - Tiffin, OH, Best Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch - Riehm Produce Farm, Best Golf Course - Mohawk Golf and Country Club, and Best Travel Organization - Destination Seneca County. The awards recognize excellence within the travel and tourism industries and are "a testament to the outstanding local businesses and attractions that make Seneca County a must-visit destination," the release states. Bryce Riggs, executive director of the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Destination Seneca County, said, "These designations are truly meaningful, both for me and for Destination Seneca County." "It's rewarding to see our local businesses receive the recognition they deserve for their dedication and hard work," Riggs said. According to the press release, the winners of the Best in Ohio awards were featured in a Midwestern Traveler Guide: Best in Ohio story and promoted on the digital platforms of Midwestern Traveler, Cincy Magazine, Dayton Magazine and Ohio Business Magazine. Riggs said Destination Seneca County submitted a number of locations to be considered for a Best in Ohio recognition, and winners were voted on by customers, industry peers and readers of the magazine. This is the first year Seneca County has had award winners, he said, and having 10 locations chosen is "a reminder of the strong sense of pride we have in our community."
