Singer, songwriter returns to Tiffin

TIFFIN — Bryan Belanski, a singer-songwriter from North Carolina is set to make his third appearance at the Viaduct Bar and Grill. The performance will be at 8:00 p.m. Feb. 1. Belanski first came to Tiffin several years ago while researching venues and performance opportunities across the country. He found a strong supporter in Lee Luzader. "I'm very grateful that Lee appreciates me and the work that I do. It's always a bonus when I get to play places that have good food." Belanski's new album, "Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time 4" came out this September. His music is inspired by the "golden oldies" from Buddy Holly to Tom Petty to The Beatles. His 3-hour set at the viaduct will include new songs, favorites from "Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time" editions 1-3 and new cover songs. Belanski's music is unlike a lot of other artists. He writes and plays the instruments for every song he records. On the road, he simplifies the style with just his 12-string guitar and the occasional harmonica or kazoo. "Being a minimalist makes me a better songwriter," he said. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based artist got his start playing guitar in a band as a teenager. He was born in Parma but spends his days now traveling the country and the world. He plays across the country and in Europe nearly year-round. When he's not performing, Belanski is researching venues and innovating on his unique style. Belanski explained, "People can walk into my concert all stressed and worried about their lives and they leave happy. Since I took that slant with my music, things have been going better and better for me. It's something different for people."
