Rock Run continues with transition

TIFFIN — It was previously announced in November that Rock Run Bulk Foods would be transitioning from its current location in Tiffin to 224-230 Main St. in Fostoria. Since then, a variety of changes have occurred, including the opening of their temporary location at 45 S. Washington St., Tiffin - more commonly known as the Tiffin Community Kitchen building. The company's new location and temporary location will both operate with their standard business hours from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. The company opened an additional satellite location at 1165 S. Bon Air Ave. in Tiffin that will serve as a pickup location for orders placed over the phone. Their satellite location, according to founder Barb Vogel, also will offer U-Haul rentals and will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays. Vogel shared that the transition so far has been challenging at times, but overall gone very smoothly. "We're very fortunate to have found the location that we did," said Barb. As of Thursday, Rock Run Bulk Foods will be continuing business as usual out of its temporary location on South Washington Street, with the addition of its new satellite location on Bon Air Ave. Tammy Vogel, Barb's daughter and the founder of Rock Run Sweet Treats, shared that the temporary location expects to be open for between 30-60 days while the new location receives its finishing touches. "I really can't thank my family, friends, customers and the community as a whole enough. Without their assistance, this transition would've been significantly more difficult and time-consuming," said Barb. When the Fostoria location is complete, it will provide rental options for tables, chairs and a portable cooler unit, for example. It will also serve as a point of contact for ordering metal buildings, such as carports, garages and commercial structures. Additionally, the Fostoria location will introduce a dine-in and carryout lunch menu available throughout the week, with two other additions: Buck's Bakery and Buck's Bar.
