NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central countered a big Lucas run with one of its own Thursday to claim a 53-43 triumph and give coach Phil Loy career win No. 200.The Cubs raced past BC 24-10 in the second quarter to enter halftime up 27-17, but the Buckettes answered with a 23-6 burst in the third to go up 40-33.Buckeye Central (7-10) held off Lucas from there to give Loy, who coached the school's boys team for 14 years before taking over the girls program last season, the milestone victory.Grace Collene paced the victors with 21 points and five rebounds, Aleyse Siefert had 14 points and five rebounds and Nevaeh Metzger tallied 10 points, three assists and three steals.Jenna Cianflone backed them with six points and Macy Deppen also registered five rebounds.
