KANSAS – Calvert had to feel good about a 5-1 lead after 5 ½ innings Wednesday at Lakota. But good turned into panic as the Raiders rallied to tie the game heading into the seventh inning. In the bottom of the seventh, Hunter Sweeney delivered a walk-off single to lift the Raiders to a huge 6-5 SBC River win.Sweeney overall produced another single and drove in two more runs for Lakota, (2-2, 2-1 SBC River), while AJ Gosche doubled and singled and Grant Bomer singled and drove in a pair of runs.Charlie Palm led Calvert (3-2, 3-1) with a double and a single. Connor Moyer ended with an RBI.Brady Kern got the win on the hill in his 1 1/3 innings of relief. He struck out one and didn't allow a hit. Jack Widman started and went 5 2/3 innings. He gave up five runs on six hits.Palm suffered the loss, allowing five runs on five hits in the final 2 2/3 frames. They also got two singles and two RBIs from Brodie Cox, two singles and an RBI by Justin Heilman and two singles and an RBI from Kasen Gottfried.Josh Heilman was the winning pitcher, allowing four runs on five hits in three innings of work. Royals knock off BCBUCYRUS – Buckeye Central led Wynford 2-1 through five innings, but in the end, the Royals handed the Bucks their first loss of the season with a 4-2 loss to Wynford in N10 play.Both teams only managed three hits apiece as BC's Dylan Heydinger singled and drove in a run and Lance Cole and Jeremiah Fishpaw each singled for the Bucks.Austin Estridge took the loss in his one inning of relief.
