Truckers sought by Sheetz

FINDLAY — Restaurant and convenience chain Sheetz is holding a hiring event for local CDL-A truck drivers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at 5900 Township Road 230. The event will be conducted to the back of the site at the corner of Township Road 230 and County Road 212 where Sheetz is constructing a $169 million, 511,704-square-foot building. The building, to open in 2026, will house food preparation and distribution services. Over 700 jobs will be created at the facility over five years, the company has reported. Sheetz reported having immediate plans to hire about 20 CDL-A truck drivers in the Findlay area, and plans to hire more by the end of summer. Prospective candidates interested in attending today's hiring event are encouraged by Sheetz to apply online for a local CDL-A position at jobs.sheetz.com prior to arrival. However, individuals are welcome to attend without submitting an application in advance. "Preferred candidates are individuals ages 23 years or older with a minimum of two years of verifiable tractor trailer experience and at least 130,000 miles driven," Sheetz stated. "In addition to on-the-spot interviews, event attendees will learn more about Sheetz's commitment to providing CDL-A truck drivers sustainable careers built on an inspiring culture."
