Tiffin man facing 33 charges

TIFFIN — A Tiffin man is facing 33 charges concerning alleged criminal sex acts involving children and voyeurism. Mick Okonski, 46, currently has two active court cases. The first case originated in January when he was arrested during the execution of a search warrant as part of an online investigation led by the Tiffin Police Department's Criminal Division. He was charged with two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, a second-degree felony. Okonski has pleaded not guilty to these charges. He received a bond of $150,000 with no 10% allowed. In January, law enforcement indicated that Okonski could face more charges based on the review and analysis of evidence gathered during the execution of the search warrant. The second case was filed in February, he faces the following charges: 22 counts of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance, second-degree felonies 6 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, second-degree felonies 2 counts of voyeurism, a fifth-degree felony 1 count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony Okonski pleaded not guilty to the charges. He received a bond of $850,000 with no 10% allowed. Both cases had "off-the-record" pretrial hearings Wednesday. Upcoming court dates were not available at time of publication.
