Heidelberg honors employees

TIFFIN — Heidelberg University celebrated the dedication and commitment of 29 employees during its annual Employee Recognition Luncheon held May 13 in Wickham Great Hall. Hosted by Chief Human Resources and Compliance Officer Victoria Black, the event honored faculty and staff members who reached milestone anniversaries in 2024, collectively representing 425 years of service to the university. President Rob Huntington presented certificates and tokens of appreciation to each honoree. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the annual Jeannine Curns Distinguished Service Awards. Jakob Boehler, Field Manager and Sandusky River Watershed Coalition Coordinator for the National Center for Water Quality Research, received the award for administrative staff. Cindy Paul, Coordinator of Athletic Operations, received the award for support staff. Employees recognized for milestone years of service included: 50 years – Kathy Borton (Admission) 35 years – David Hogan (History) 30 years – Steven Velasquez (Physics) 25 years – Renee Clair (School of Music & Theatre), Curtis Glick (Krammes Service Center), Dan Higgins (Communication & Media) 20 years – Greg Covert, Scott Donaldson, Jeff Garvin, John Hoffman, Traci Stark 15 years – Chad Fitzgerald, Rob Huntington 10 years – Cassandra Brown, Robin Heaton, Sandy Nye, Tony Patrizi, Stacey Pistorova, Suzanne Reinhart, Peggy Ronski, Brendan Valentine, Bob Youngblood 5 years – Pamela Hall, Theresa Hernandez, Sarah Lazzari, Sieglinde Poelzler-Kamatali, Sara Rowlinson, Mark Shiley, Bradley Wright The luncheon served as a reflection of the university's appreciation for the lasting impact these individuals have made on the Heidelberg community.
