Seneca County Backpackin' Babies – MUD! – 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, 6777 S. State Route 19, Bloomville. Babies up to 18 months are invited to explore Mud Mountain with Linda Rose. Come in a backpack, stroller or on foot. Bring an extra set of clothes. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Canoe and Kayak Float – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, 6777 S. State Route 19, Bloomville. Join Linda Rose for a relaxing paddle around the pond. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets provided. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Search for natural art along the trail and create your own masterpiece with Linda Rose. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Nature Walk Bird Talk – 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, 6777 S. State Route 19, Bloomville. Enjoy a morning walk with Linda Rose, listening and watching for birds and other wildlife. Qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Binoculars helpful. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Family Fun Event – Butterflies and Moths – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, 6777 S. State Route 19, Bloomville. Learn the difference between butterflies and moths with Linda Rose and go on a butterfly hunt. Nets provided or bring your own. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Sandusky County Spilling the Tea – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Creek Bend Farm: Homestead House, 720 S. Main St., Lindsey. Learn about life in 1934 through letters, photos and diary entries during this 1930s-themed tea. Registration required by May 27. Big Beautiful Birds Hike – 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at Blue Heron Reserve, Fremont. Explore prairies and wetlands in search of big birds you can "collect" and take home. Uneven terrain; dress appropriately. Registration required by June 4. Sensory Play Saturday – Nature Sounds – 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Creek Bend Farm: Wilson Nature Center, 720 S. Hancock County Discovering Darters – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, Discovery Center, 1400 Oakwood Ave., Findlay. Ages 16+. Explore darter fish with nets in Aurand Run. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet. Free; register by May 30. 23rd Annual Peter Rabbit Tea – 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 2 at Litzenberg Memorial Woods, Gatehouse, 6100 U.S. 224, Findlay. Ages 4–8 with one adult.
