Library hosts Tiny Art Contest

ATTICA — Seneca East Public Library (SEPL) kicked off its display of the Tiny Art Show on Monday, June 2. Members of the community were invited to decorate a 4x4" canvas provided by the library utilizing any material other than food. Additionally, participants are asked to refrain from any inappropriate artwork and/or titles of the work, as it must be appropriate for all ages. "I've given out quite a few kits and have five submissions so far," shared Shannon Featheringill, director of SEPL. "We have kits for those who want to participate containing the rules and guidelines as well as a canvas, and there are carts full of supplies available for in-library use for those who want to create their masterpiece at the library," added Featheringill. Members of the community who wish to participate can stop by the library to pick up supplies and can drop off their submission during the library's regular business hours until July 26– the final day of the display. Library staff reserve the right to reject any art that they deem does not follow the guidelines or is inappropriate.
