Camp Invention returns to Tiffin

TIFFIN — A nationally recognized summer STEM program is making its return to Tiffin this month. Camp Invention, a weeklong enrichment experience for children entering grades K-6, will take place June 16-20 at Tiffin Middle School, 103 Shepherd Drive. The program is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and foster problem-solving through hands-on learning. Offered in partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Camp Invention features activities inspired by real-life inventors. Each year introduces a new curriculum — and this summer's theme, "Discover," includes four interactive modules: • In Control – Campers chart their own course on an innovation road trip. • Illusion Workshop – Participants dive into the science behind optical illusions. • Claw Arcade – Kids use design and engineering to build a working arcade claw. • Penguin Launch – A chilly eco-expedition challenges campers to experiment with arctic physics. The program is led by certified educators from the local community. Organizers say it's not just about STEM — campers also gain skills in leadership, resilience and teamwork.
