Films and Fun at the East Green

TIFFIN —The Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission, together with local businesses and community partners known as TMAC & Friends, will host Films & Fun at the East Green, a free movie and community event series this summer and fall. The family-friendly events take place at the Frost-Kalnow Amphitheater at the East Green downtown. Each evening starts at 7 p.m. with nonprofit-led activities and community gatherings. The movie begins around 9 p.m. when it gets dark. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Picnic baskets are available for pre-order and can be picked up at The Sweet Spot at JAM's Markets (located at 145 Madison St.) before the film starts. Food and drinks will also be sold on-site. The full schedule includes: • July 19: How the Grinch Stole Christmas — Franciscan Earth Literacy Center (FELC)• August 16: Shrek — Seneca Mentoring Youth Links• September 13: Viewer's Choice (Toy Story, E.T., or The Goonies) — United Way of North Central Ohio• October 4: Wicked — Operation Hallmark, Inc.• October 18: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone — Hopewell-Loudon Class of 2029 The series is designed to bring people together, offer accessible family entertainment and highlight local nonprofits.
