Meetings • The Tiffin city council's finance committee will meet at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, July 14, at Tiffin City Hall, 51 E. Market St. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the mayor's requests for legislation #25-34 OPWC Sewer Replacement Project Application, #25-35 Resolution of Intent for CSO 9-13 & 15 Sewer Project and #25-36 Resolution of Intent for Sewer Rehabilitation Project as well as any other business presented to the committee. • The city of Tiffin's board of control will meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at Tiffin City Hall, 51 E. Market St. The purpose of the meeting is to open bids for the South Point Project for the city of Tiffin and any other business presented to the board. Freedom of Forgiveness series continues at church FOSTORIA — The sermon series on Freedom of Forgiveness will continue during Sunday's 9 a.m., worship service at West Independence Church in Fostoria.West Independence is a Global Methodist Church located at 22876 U.S. Route 224. The worship service is livestreamed on YouTube.The Rev. Ben Wallick's Sunday sermon, titled "The Foundation for Forgiveness," is based on scripture from Genesis 4:1-16, the story of Cain and Abel.Coffee fellowship in the Family Life Center will follow worship, and Sunday school classes for all ages, with a variety of topics available, will begin at 10:15 a.m.A prayer meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday in Room 8 of the church. Support for MS Support is available in Fremont for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and their caregivers. According to a press release, the National MS Society, together with WalkMS Fremont, offers a support group the second Monday of each month at Hayes United Methodist Church, 1441 Fangboner Rd. The July 14 meeting, it states, will focus on connecting with other MS support groups, as well as specific awareness projects across the county. "People come together at self-help groups to lift each other up through personal struggles and encourage each other to try new things and live each day to its full potential," the release states. According to the release, approximately 20,000 Ohioans are living with MS, which impacts the central nervous system. There is no known cure for MS, and the cause is unknown.
