TPC contributes to flood recovery efforts

TIFFIN — TPC Food Service donated more than 20 pallets of supplies last week to support flood-affected communities in Central Texas. Some of the donated items included water, nonperishable food and paper goods — all sourced from the company's inventory. Employees across departments helped organize, pack and load the items, which will be distributed by Day 41 Disaster Relief. "This was a company-wide initiative, and our leadership, warehouse and driver teams came together quickly," said Chelsea Hensley, human resources generalist for TPC. "The effort was fueled by the generosity and teamwork of our employees." Day 41 held donation drop-offs last week at Discovery Church and The Naz Church near Columbus. The group previously shared plans to coordinate delivery to Texas communities this week. "At TPC, community and compassion are at the heart of our company values—whether that community is local or across the country," Hensley said. "Foodservice is what we do, and we knew these products could make a difference for families and frontline responders during this crisis." TPC President Tom Maiberger said he feels the donation reflects a larger commitment to service. "Donating over 20 pallets of food, water and paper goods to the Texas flood relief effort was about more than supplies — it was about sending a message of solidarity," said Maiberger. "We may be based in Ohio, but we're all part of the same human community. When others are hurting, we act."
