A bunch of Tiffin winners at Bloor/Ortner Memorial Tennis Classic

SANDUSKY — The 2025 Bloor/Ortner Memorial Tennis Classic wrapped up over the weekend at the courts at Perkins High School.More than 100 players participated in the USTA event.Men's singles drew 24 entrants. Joe Gilman defeated Phil Conley in the finals, 6-4, 6-1.Both men are from Tiffin. Conley, the University of Tiffin tennis coach, defeated three college players to get to the final match.Harry Love, the teaching pro at Court 1 Tennis, and Greg Avery served as co-directors of the tournament.Six players from Tiffin won titles, including the men's and women's singles champions and the 40 & over doubles match as Columbian coach Chip Weingart and former Calvert coach Adrian Conley defeated John Hug and David Givens 6-1, 6-4.Results from championship matches:Men's singles: Joe Gilman (Tiffin) def.
