'God Meant It For Good' is church's message

FOSTORIA — "God Meant It For Good" is the title of the message the Rev. Ben Wallick will deliver during the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at West Independence Church in Fostoria.West Independence, 22876 U.S. Route 224, is a Global Methodist Church. Its worship services are livestreamed on YouTube.Scripture will be taken on Sunday from Genesis 50:15-21, which recounts the moment when Joseph's brothers, fearing his retribution after their father's death, send a message to him asking for forgiveness. This passage highlights the themes of forgiveness and divine providence, emphasizing that despite human intentions, God's plans prevail.Maegan Stauffer will give the Children's Moments. Communion will be served during worship as well.Following worship will be a special coffee fellowship in the Family Life Center honoring Jill Frantz for her service as the church's director of youth and children's ministry.Sunday school classes begin at 10:15 a.m., with various topics available for all ages.
