Chieftains win another SBC River Shootout

OAK HARBOR – Hopewell-Loudon continued its strong start to the season with another win in a SBC River Shootout – this time at Oak Harbor Golf Club Monday.H-L topped host Danbury 186-195, while Old Fort was third (195) and Calvert took fourth (196).Aubrey Cline took second overall with a 43 to lead H-L. It also got a 46 from Mallory Rowe, a 48 from Megan Boes and a 49 by Brooke Clouse. Mylie Alt fired a 51 and Avary Tyler ended with a 70.Sarah Combs was one shot better than her sister Kristin to lead Old Fort with a 43, while Claire Hunker backed them with a 51 and Isabella Reyna finished with a 57. Mollie Snyder (65) and Tahlia Steinberger (79) also played for OF.For Calvert, Grace Wood tied H-L's Cline with a 43, while Gentry Gillett posted a 48, Sofia Lee carded a 51 and Hannah Spaun ended with a 54. Bellevue was seventh with a 400.Frankie Miller added a 101 for the Tornadoes, while Patty Haner posted a 104 and Emma Spurck ended with a 107. Adalyn Clarkson carded a 112 and Evie Murphy finished with a 137. Rams 8th, Blue Devils 12th at Colonial Golfers Club TourneyLIMA – Upper Sandusky and Carey took on some bigger schools Monday in the Colonel Golfers Club Tournament as the Rams placed eighth overall (414) and Carey came in 12th (469).Faibanks clipped Findlay 370-372 for the victory.For Upper Sandusky, Jillian Stansbery carded a 94, while Avi Niederkohr added a 106 and Alayna Huff, Addie Niederkohr and Rylee Williams all shot a 107.
