Coach: Ryan HussNotable returners: Weston Burns, Liam Herbert, Jacob Rishty, Troy Shook.Others: Olyvor Distel, Cohen Stull, Braxton Shoemaker.Outlook: Similarly to the girls team, the boys team did lose its top player from a year ago – Kevin Ardner.But the boys did lose a few more seniors as well to graduation, so the team will have some new faces.Herbert is off a solid start as the No. 1 player at this point of the season."Same thing as with the girls, we're not going to replace Kevin, so we have to get better across the board," Huss said. "Liam Herbert is our No. 1 right now, he's learning that role. Today he was 2 under through four (holes) and ended up 3 over, so he's gotta get comfortable shooting low scores. Hopefully we'll get a big addition Friday as Cohen Stuff, who transferred from St. Joe – he was first-team all-league last year – he had to sit out half of the season, but he broke his hand over the summer, so we're hoping to get him for the second half of the season. That will be an instant jolt for us."Right now the key is striving for consistency, especially out of the middle of the lineup.As far as the SBC River, Sandusky St. Mary has the top golfer and perhaps the best team because of him, but Huss believes it's up for the taking."Really, it's wide open. I've seen some teams already finish near the top one day and then near the bottom another day," he said. "We just have to remain consistent."
