New digs for Cassie's Canine Cuts

TIFFIN — Tiffin tails are wagging at the new home of Cassie's Canine Cuts. Owner Cassie Halcomb launched the business in 2023 out of her home but quickly realized she needed more space. By 2024, she had moved into a commercial location on East Market Street. Continued growth soon had her looking again. "We needed to scale back or grow," Halcomb explained. Through A+ Rentals, she toured the property at 170 E. Perry St., which had been damaged in a fire. "It (the building) was a shell," she recalled. The space ultimately proved to be a good fit. After plumbing, electrical and aesthetic work, Cassie's Canine Cuts is now open at the new site. Still, Halcomb admitted, "it's a work in progress," with more projects ahead. The East Perry Street move also brought upgrades to grooming products and expanded capacity, with three grooming tables and kennel space. "I was good before but I want to be even better," she said. With multiple stations and demand rising, Halcomb is looking to hire two additional groomers. "Tiffin is very lacking in number of groomers," she noted. "The clientele is there." Bringing in more staff would help meet the needs of the area's growing number of pet owners. Cassie's Canine Cuts offers nail trimming, deshedding and full grooming sessions. Appointments are best scheduled by texting 567-230-2623. She can also be reached through Facebook, with online scheduling available via Square. Currently, Halcomb is booked solid for at least three weeks, but keeps a cancellation list for clients.
