GOLF: Rick Theis, Dave Clouse, Tom Puffenberger and Neil Collins shot a 55 to defeat Dave Omlor, Joe Hill, Stu Bowersox and Alan Nissen in the Bump's Senior Scramble Funday at Fostoria Country Club for the A&B group. In the C&D, Group Scott Swartz, Dave Sendelbach, Charlie Reinbolt, Larry Schalk and Pete Kleinhenz shot a 60 to beat Mike Kerschner, Jim Bosse, Dave Stevens and Doug Hufford. Prize holes in the AB Group went to Kevin Orians, Theis, Steve Lauer and Mark Scheid. Prize holes in the CD Group went to Dennis Ferrill, Swartz, Larry Pocock, Bosse and Ray Tittle. Next week's outing occurs at Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Kenton, with a 9:30 a.m. start. JV VOLLEYBALL: Ava Eilrich tallied 17 assists, six aces and four digs to key Calvert's 25-9, 25-3 win against Woodmore. Kaylee Kramer and Carly Bagent each slammed seven kills for the Senecas, with Kramer adding four aces. Sienna Tiell lined six kills, Rachel Spaun handed out five assists and Savannah Faber came up with four digs.Mara Lease smacked 13 kills and two aces to fuel Mohawk's 25-22, 25-14 win against Colonel Crawford. Briella Cleland backed her with 11 assists and two aces, Sammy Yarger tossed up 10 assists and Summer Haubert came up with 10 digs.Hopewell-Loudon beat Danbury 25-11, 25-21. Kelsey Brendle led H-L with nine digs, Ceillia Crow had three aces and two digs, and Aubrie Tiell tallied five digs, three kills and two aces.Fremont St. Joe downed Old Fort 28-26, 25-19. JV TENNIS: Columbian's Miriah Distel and Tara Duffy, Coryanna Martin and Melinna Holman and Mackenzie Bracey and Kansas Fox all won matches vs. Clyde Tuesday. JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Hopewell-Loudon's eighth grade topped Fremont St. Joe 25-22, 25-23 as Lilli Betzold collected 10 aces and a pair of kills for H-L, while Cameron Bodart added two aces and six assists and Maelyn Velasquez ended with six kills.St. Joe's seventh grade upended H-L 25-10, 25-12. For H-L, Brynn Brickner dished two assists, Sophia Ellis served two aces and Alyvia Stahl smacked two kills.
