Comedy star Brian Regan to wrap Heidelberg's 175th

TIFFIN — Comedian and Heidelberg University alumnus Brian Regan will return to Tiffin this fall for a performance benefiting his alma mater. Scheduled to perform at The Ritz Theatre on Nov. 11, the event will serve as the conclusion of Heidelberg's 175th anniversary celebration. "We're thrilled to welcome Brian back to Tiffin for this special one-night-only performance," said Ashley Helmstetter, Heidelberg's vice president for advancement, marketing, alumni and community relations. Originally from Florida, Regan came to Heidelberg in 1976 to play football and later pursued communication and theatre arts. He left school in 1980 to focus on comedy, returning to complete his degree in 1997. In 2008, he served as Heidelberg's commencement speaker and received an honorary doctorate. Regan has performed stand-up for more than three decades, appearing at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, among other well-known venues. His television work includes "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," "The Late Show with David Letterman," and two Netflix stand-up specials, "Nunchucks and Flamethrowers" and "On the Rocks."
