GOLF: Three teams tied at 3 under in the Clinton Heights Senior League Wednesday as the teams were Chuck Wilbert, Mike Kerschner, Rex Mellott and Tom Miller, Herb Love, JC Cunningham, Dave Meyers, Gary Hohman and Jim Hoffbauer and Frank Michniak, Craig Neifer, Don Miller, Mike Windau and Jim Ruess. Prizes went to Steve Scheiber (closest to pin in one No. 8), Mike Dunn (closest in two No. 4) and Michniak (long putt No. 9). VOLLEYBALL: Lakota topped Woodmore 25-18, 17-25, 25-17, 25-17 Tuesday in SBC river play to record its sixth straight win. Queen Beard had a monster night with 31 kills, 15 digs and a pair of aces. Lakota also got 51 assists from Sophia Bomer, 13 digs and two aces from Peyton Myers and a pair of aces by Liv Thomas.Calvert swept Fremont St. Joe 25-14, 25-17, 25-23 in SBC River action Tuesday. Bella Borgio paced the Senecas with nine kills, while Karris Marinis and Hope Waire each smashed seven kills, Megan Rombach blasted six kills, Emily Miller added eight kills and four blocks, Bryn Dircksen produced 26 assists, four aces and a pair of blocks, Kate Coleman had two aces and eight digs and Claire Schoenberger made 15 digs. JV VOLLEYBALL: Lakota handled Woodmore 25-17, 25-14.Calvert dropped Fremont St. Joe 25-7, 25-7 Tuesday as Carly Bagent recorded nine kills, two aces and two blocks for the Senecas. They also got seven kills and a pair of aces from Story Lee, four kills apiece from Sienna Tiell and Kaylee Kramer, two aces and seven digs by Savannah Faber, 14 assists from Rachel Spaun and six digs from Ava Eilrich. BOYS SOCCER: Perkins blanked Columbian 7-0. Conner Reese had a non-keeper save, while Jhonny Gutierrez had two non-keeper saves and Corey Pool made 24 saves in net for TC.
