ARLINGTON — New Riegel and Carey earned team district berths Thursday by finishing second and third at the Division III sectional tournament at Sycamore Springs.The top three teams and top three players not on those teams qualified for next Thursday's district tournament at Stone Ridge in Bowling Green.Van Buren cruised to the sectional title with a 318, with New Riegel besting Carey 338-354 for second. Hopewell-Loudon ended 10th (389).Blake Moes and Sam Clouse tied for fifth individually with twin 80s to spark the runner-up Blue Jackets.Brayden Schalk and Braden Clouse both added a 90 for New Riegel. Findlay turns away TCOwen Vick claimed medalist honors and two teammates ended within two strokes of him Thursday to propel Findlay past Columbian 156-164 at Mohawk Country Club.Vick fired a 1-over 37 to key the Trojans.Reece Stillings followed with a 38 for Findlay, Kellen Sherer shot a 39 and Bryce Frost added a 42.Columbian's Kyle Hepp carded a 38, Carter Everhart tallied a 39, Mason Roszman turned in a 42 and Jack Dell had a 45.Tornadoes Izaac Woessner (47) and Brady Miller (52) also played.
