Hoot in the Park at Opportunity Center

TIFFIN — Costumes, candy and a family-friendly atmosphere will once again fill the Seneca County Opportunity Center grounds during Hoot in the Park, scheduled for 5–6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at 780 E. CR-20. The free event is open to the public and will shift to a drive-thru format to match weather conditions, if need be. Children ages 10 and under are invited to walk the Trick-or-Treat Trail through Opportunity Park. The event is designed to be non-scary and accessible for all abilities. Volunteers from ACT (Advocates Coming Together) Council, the SCOC Aktion Club and area sponsors will line the trail to pass out candy. The Aktion Club — a branch of Kiwanis made up of adults with disabilities who take part in community service projects — and ACT Council have worked together to put on Hoot in the Park for more than a decade. ACT Council includes parents, siblings, allies and individuals with developmental disabilities who support programming at the Opportunity Center.
