Architectural office opens in Tiffin

TIFFIN — McCall Sharp Genet recently opened a new architectural branch office in downtown Tiffin, expanding the Springfield-based firm into Northwest Ohio. The face of the new office? Tiffin native and architect Craig Genet, who shared that he is proud to be able to return home with his family and to again be a part of the Tiffin community. Genet is a 2008 graduate of Calvert High School, who went on to earn degrees in architecture from Ball State University and Miami University. He began his career with McCall Sharp Architecture in 2014, earned his architecture license in 2018, and became a part owner of the firm in 2024. "It feels like a natural next step in my career, to step out from behind the desk and become more of the face of the firm and build professional relationships with others in the community," Genet said. He noted that while he developed professionally in Springfield, Genet stayed familiar with both Tiffin and Seneca County and already knew many people in the area. At the same time, he said, being away long enough has allowed him to return as a fresh face in the community. According to Genet, the firm plans to take on projects similar to those handled by its Springfield office, such as fire stations, maintenance buildings and medical clinics, while remaining open to other types of work. "You and your project will receive the close attention of a local architect who lives in the community, and you will receive the expertise of the entire firm, including six members of the Springfield office," Genet said.
