Sandusky County Creatures of the Night Hike — 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Creek Bend Farm Wilson Nature Center, 720 S. Main St., Lindsey. Take a moonlit stroll on the trails and learn about the creatures of the night. Enjoy S'mores by the fire, make a spooky craft, and explore the park with a red-light flashlight. Weather dependent. Registration required. Register online at lovemyparks.com. Crawford County Fall Foliage Hike — 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 OH-598, Crestline. Take a short hike with Naturalist Donald and enjoy the brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges of autumn while learning about the science behind the changing leaves. Viewing the Night Sky — 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 OH-598, Crestline. Join the Crawford Park Astronomy Club to view fall constellations such as Pegasus, Andromeda, and Leo. Hancock County Monster Mash Cookout — 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Litzenberg Memorial Woods, Activity Barn and Patio Campfire Ring, 6100 US-224, Findlay. A monster-themed family evening featuring stew, games, storytelling, and a costume contest. Cryptozoology Open House — 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Oakwoods Nature Preserve Discovery Center, 1400 Oakwoods Ave., Findlay. Learn about mysterious creatures known as cryptids through displays and crafts. Visitors can make a sasquatch face from construction paper. Free; registration not required. Broom Making Workshop — 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Litzenberg Memorial Woods Activity Barn, 6100 US-224, Findlay. Make your own turkey wing whisk broom from broom corn and learn traditional broommaking techniques. $30 per person; registration required by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22.
