Vote to renew public health levy My name is Julie Richards, and I am the Seneca County health commissioner. On Nov. 4, the Seneca County General Health District has a 0.3-mill levy renewal on the ballot. This levy renewal means no new taxes for our residents, and will simply continue the collection of the current levy funds, which is a yearly total of $467,913. This means that for a $100,000 valued property owner, the tax is $8 a year, which you are already contributing. Regardless of increasing property values, your contribution will remain the same. I am asking for your "yes" vote to help support the Health District and the many programs and services we offer. These services include Emergency Preparedness, Nursing in the Schools, Senior Citizen Health Services, Nursing and Immunization Clinics, Drug Prevention Education, Epidemiology and Communicable Disease Investigations, Family Planning Clinic, Nuisance Complaint Investigations, Complex Medical Help Program, Restaurant and Food Service Inspections and much more! Our public health services and programs are vital in keeping our communities and residents healthy. Please vote "yes" on Nov. 4, and remember, public health saves lives! Julie Richards Tiffin
